Best Morocco Itineraries: 3, 7, 10 & 12 Day Ideas

Sample ways to shape a Morocco trip in 3, 7, 10 and 12 days, and how to choose between cities, desert and coast.

There is no single best Morocco itinerary. The right one depends on your time, your interests and how fast you like to travel. These are common ways travelers shape their trip.

3 days: Marrakech and the Sahara

A short, focused trip built around the desert. Ideal if you have limited time and want to experience the Sahara without a long itinerary.

7 days: a taste of everything

A week can combine an imperial city, the Atlas and a night in the desert, or trade the desert for the coast. It is a good first trip if you don't mind moving often.

10 days: the unhurried loop

Ten days lets you connect the main regions of Morocco at a comfortable pace: cities, desert, mountains and coast, with breathing room between them.

12 days: going deeper

Twelve days allows for slower travel, extra nights in places you love and detours beyond the main tourist circuit.

Choosing your focus

  • Love landscapes and adventure? Prioritise the Sahara and the Atlas.
  • Love history and craft? Spend more time in Fes and Marrakech.
  • Want to relax? Add days on the Atlantic coast.
  • Want it all? Choose a longer trip and accept fewer one-night stays.
